vivian elisabeth hadley {mother} works as a real-estate agent- after leaving her husband, she had to get a job, as she'd been a housewife for twenty-five years. sometimes she wonders what her life would be like if she'd ignored her parents wishes to marry at a young age, went to college and lived her life the way she had wanted to.
florence louisa langdon - {sister} cérise's older sister. she is twenty-four, and has been married for eleven years. currently residing in new york.
luca rose hadley {daughter} was originally going to be adopted by florence and her husband, as they cannot concieve naturally, but cérise later decided she wanted to keep the baby.
 
what happened next?: cérise did not graduate from jackson, as she returned to san francisco during her sophomore year when she discovered her father had passed away. despite the fact they had been divorced for almost a year, vivian did not cope at all well with the news, and cérise had to support her as best as she could. as she watched her mother's downward spiral into depression and alcoholism, she too started to descend into a depression. spending most of the remainder of her high school career involved with alcohol, drugs and petty crime. she managed to pull things together in her senior year, and later attended yale, graduation four years later with honors. after that, things started to fall apart again, and after countless failed relationships, she is now trying to rebuild her life for the sake of her three-month-old daughter.
